About Teagraphy - three generations of tea craft

Three generations of tea craft
Our family's tea making and roasting skills have now passed to the third generation, quietly carried through three lifetimes. Our love for tea, and our insistence on doing it properly, have never faded with time. Whether it is the strict selection of tea varieties, the changes and refinements in our roasting technique, or every small detail of the picking, we give it everything, in the spirit of the craftsman.
Tradition, and the craftsman's insistence
There is no shortage of tea brands on the market, each with its own strengths. Teagraphy® is built on the age-old craft of longan charcoal roasting, and we roast with charcoal alone. Modern roasting can be done quickly and efficiently with electric equipment, yet we choose to hold to the tradition, relying on our roasting master's patient watch to bring out the human warmth that is distinctly Teagraphy® - and to let every cup carry an unhurried grace.

Awards and recognition
Staying true to why we began making tea, we won the Grand Prize at the Nantou County Oolong Tea Competition in our early years. That was not only a mark of quality, but an encouragement to keep faith with the love of tea and of roasting, and to explore the good flavours of Taiwan together with you.
The idea behind the name
Sound was once a fleeting thing——until the phonograph was invented, and its traces could finally be kept.
Flavour is the same.
The rich aroma of charcoal-roasted tea is like a melody worth recording, gone into the air in a moment.
Teagraphy TEAGRAPHY takes its name from TEA and GRAPHY (to record) - the wish to inscribe and keep that precious charcoal-roasted character, using the old ways and a charcoal fire.
Flavour, too, once left no trace at all, just as sound did.
Teagraphy® hopes to carry that precious charcoal-roasted character forward.
——So that every cup is no longer merely a product, but a fragrant trace carrying history, culture and the passing years.
A thread of charcoal-roasted character, fragrant through the years
Aged by Charcoal. Perfected by Time.
